We have written about the Orenco Woods Nature Park and all that it took to get it from the verge of a 300 lot development to something we could all enjoy. Now it is going to be a landmark facility for the ages and I am so happy to have been a key player in this outcome. Having grown up adventuring on this magical property when it was known as the Orenco Woods Golf Course it meant alot for me to broker the sale, after 3 years of lobbying and research, to the Trust for Public Land. They in turn worked with the City of Hillsboro and METRO to make the Park happen.
This is a notice for official hearing #1 that addresses the Significant Natural Resource areas that need to be altered to provide a Bridge and come trails in sensitive areas on the land. Here is a copy of the Notice and the PDF for the Hearing is attached.
